What to do at Leolandia

Leolandia features 6 themed areas, over 40 attractions for children of all ages, musical shows and much more. With its 200,000 m² of space, Leolandia is considered one of the most important parks in northern Italy. There are three different routes in particular: the Emotions Route for families with very young children, the Fun Route for families with children of different ages, and the Adventure Route for young people who love thrilling and adrenaline-fuelled activities. The offer is rounded out with an aquarium, a reptile house and an educational farm. Access to Leolandia’s attractions is determined by height rather than age.

Leolandia is divided into themed areas that recreate a historical period or a world inspired by cartoons or cinema. Within each area there are attractions for all ages, refreshment points and facilities. The main areas are: Cowboy Toy, Pirate’s Cove, Leonardo’s Lands, Masha and the Bear Forest, Little Surfers Bay, Minitalia and animals.

The jewel in the park’s crown is undoubtedly the Minitalia area, a journey that recreates Italy in miniature with 160 scale reproductions of the most beautiful monuments on our peninsula. Guiding visitors through this itinerary are also 16 talking statues of famous figures who shaped Italian history and share stories about our land with both children and adults. To complete the experience, there’s also a miniature reproduction of the Italian railway network with various trains travelling from north to south.

When to visit Leolandia

The park is generally open from mid-March to early November. An updated calendar with opening times for each season is available on the official website.

Usually in March, Leolandia opens only at weekends, then with the arrival of fine weather, it opens every day of the week. Additionally, on special occasions such as the Christmas holidays, the park may organise special opening days.

The best times to visit the park are naturally the shoulder seasons. In summer, Leolandia can get very crowded and the heat makes waiting in the sun uncomfortable.

Leolandia entrance tickets

There are several types of tickets to enter Leolandia, but we recommend purchasing your ticket online. Buying your entrance ticket online allows you to avoid long queues at the ticket counters.

Ticket prices for fixed dates start from €24.50 and vary dynamically depending on the date you choose for your visit.

There are two types of fixed-date tickets:

• Fixed-Date Full Ticket: from €24.50 if purchased online and with the visit date chosen in advance. All children taller than 120 cm (with shoes on) pay full price.
• Fixed-Date Reduced Ticket: from €22.50 if purchased online and with the visit date chosen in advance; this is for children between 90 and 119 cm tall, pregnant women and those over 65.

Alternatively, you can purchase Open-Date Tickets. There are two types of Open-Date Tickets:

• Open-Date Full Ticket: for those 120 cm or taller, costs €43.50
• Open-Date Reduced Ticket: for those 90 to 119 cm tall, costs €38.50

Entry to Leolandia amusement park is free for children under 89 cm in height!

Leolandia also offers annual passes and the option to purchase a ticket plus hotel package at really special prices. The hotels available are those with special agreements with the Park.

Opening times

Opening times at Leolandia vary depending on the time of year. Generally, the park is open from 10:00 to 18:00, but during the summer months there are evening openings. Before planning your visit, you can check the updated calendar with all the information on the official website.

Facilities

Within the park there are nurseries with all services dedicated to changing and feeding very young children. You’ll also find bottle warmers and/or microwaves for heating baby food; high chairs for small children are available near dining areas. There is also a pushchair rental service. Special attention is paid to expectant mothers, who are given a complimentary voucher to return to the amusement park once their child is born.

Where to stay near Leolandia

Leolandia Park offers the option to purchase a Park + Hotel ticket and stay in partner facilities located near the park. The municipality of Capriate San Gervasio, where Leolandia is located, offers good accommodation availability at very competitive rates. Alternatively, you can stay in larger cities such as Milan, Bergamo or Brescia, where the choice of accommodation is certainly much wider, and from there you can reach the Park for the day by car or public transport. In particular, Milan is approximately 35 km from the Park and Bergamo is less than 20 km away.

How to reach Leolandia

Leolandia is in an excellent location for those travelling by car, as it is situated about 300 metres from the exit of the Capriate service area on the A4 Milan-Venice motorway. The site can therefore be reached in twenty minutes from Bergamo and in half an hour from Milan.

Those wishing to travel by train can use the nearest railway stations, which are Bergamo and Milan. From Milan and Bergamo, the Z301 bus service operated by Nord Est Trasporti serves Capriate San Gervasio, a stop less than 500 metres from the Park.
